Collection: High Tensile Hex Head Set Screws

Hex head set screws are threaded all the way up to the head, which is what separates them from hex head bolts with a plain shank. They follow the DIN 933 pattern and are used in tapped holes or with a nut where full thread engagement is needed.

Our high tensile set screws come in property class 8.8 and 10.9. Under ISO 898-1, class 8.8 has a nominal tensile strength of 800 MPa and 10.9 has 1000 MPa. Sizes run from M4 to M48 in coarse and fine metric thread, lengths from 8 mm to 300 mm, in bare, zinc plated and hot dip galvanised finishes.

Zinc plating is a thin coating best kept indoors. Hot dip galvanising is far thicker and suits outdoor steelwork. Pair them with our grade 8 and grade 10 Hex Nuts and Through Hardened Washers.
